The D.A.'s Office is frequently asked by crime victims to assist them with legal issues arising in the aftermath of their victimization.  Unfortunately, the D.A.'s Office cannot provide legal advice.  Most of the people who ask our office for legal advice are probably unable to hire private counsel. District Attorney Chambers would like to be able to give them some resource to turn to, and a list of attorneys who have indicated a willingness to provide legal assistance even if no remuneration is likely, would prove to be a resource in the practical sense, and also one that might give these victims some sense of hope.
